Built in 1965, Anzčreresort is a contemporary ski vacation hot spot situated in the canton of Valais, Switzerland, which is near to Sion and Crans Montana. Its ski slopes features 40 kilometres of downhill runs with 8 T-bars, 2 chair lifts, and 1 cable car to usher people uphill. The lifts can transfer up to 9,500 people per hour. The resort is geared mainly for intermediate skiers and has less areas for neophyte and professional skiers. The longest run is Les Rousses which is more than 5 kilometres long. It also offers a moderate to good cross-country and off-piste trails for skiers. For snowboarders, the resort provides a half pipe and a terrain park. Heli-skiing is also ready at the Wildhorn Glacier which has an imposing 3,247-metre altitude.

The nearest airport, Sion, is only 14 kilometres away and you can reach it in roughly an hour. The only direct way en route Anzčre is through by road. When you are from the airport you can take any available transportation vehicles like cars, buses, or rails.

If you plan to go to Anzčre by train, stop over at the Sion station, which is only 30 minutes from the resort. Travelling from London by the rails will take at least four changes. You will the final station going to Anzčre is still the Sion station. From Geneva, you can also rent a car and drive along the 175-kilometre road that will last for around two hours. Bus and taxi transfers bringing you to the resort can also be an option. If you budget will permit it, the most convenient way to reach the resort is by hiring a car from any of the airports rather that commuting on public transportations.


Anzčre offers a more peaceful night-life than the frenetic din of discos in urban areas, but there are a fer clubs and bars giving aprčs-ski entertainment. Besides skiing, Anzčre is also home to other winter activities like artificial ice-skating, mountaineering, curling, snow shoeing, bowling, sledding, indoor swimming and hiking (a 30-kilometre trail is available). There are also a variety of lodgings, chalets, and house for rents around the area that can fit any kind of budget.
